fair trade espresso. soymilk specialists.
Welcome to Soy Cafe! We are a neighborhood coffeeshop and cafe located in Manhattan's West Village. Our coffee is good. Our food is tasty (and good for you). And our wifi is free, as is use of our wall outlets. Our creed is to never be that stingy cafe that frowns if you come here to work on your long-overdue thesis, charges you for wifi, and kicks you out after 30 minutes because you're taking up space. Of course, if you're taking up lots of space, please share; our patrons are (mostly) nice people. And if you're not buying anything, try our coffee, we swear, it's good.
We pay extra money to make sure our beans are certified fair-trade organic, and we get it delievered weekly from our local roaster in Queens, which means our beans travel less than 15 miles from the roasting plant to your cup. Our baristas grind our beans fresh every morning. We make a full selection of espresso drinks and make a killer green tea soy latte. If caffeine isn't your thing, our Soyafrosts (blended ice soy drinks) and our Soy Soothers (steamed soy milk) are awesome (and we really mean awesome), made using our homemade organic soymilk (100% organic, non-GMO). And if soy just isn't your thing, we offer regular cow's milk, hemp and coconut milk.
healthy food. vegan friendly.
Don't eat meat? You're in the right place. Our food is all vegan & vegetarian friendly, though we do offer several non-vegetarian dishes for omnivores. If you're a carnivore, we suggest the bbq place down the block. Our breakfast is served all day and includes pressed bagels with a variety of toppings, including a delicious bagel sandwich with egg whites, avocado, and soy cream cheese. For lunch and dinner we have a full selection of yummy salads, sandwiches, panini, and crepes. All our baked goods are vegan (or gluten free) and we also offer a vegan almond brittle made by a vegan-friendly elf that lives in the east village.
